Charlotte Morrison

Charlotte Coyne Morrison, age 83, passed quietly on the evening of July 20th, 2017. A 57-year resident of Belvedere and daughter of Thomas Roswell Coyne and Charlotte Eckhart Coyne of Chicago, "Charie" moved to California more than six decades ago, where she fell in love with and married Robert Wendell Morrison of Bradford, Pa., at the age of 28. Widowed at 52, she again fell in love and married Steven Robert Biggart of San Francisco; they remained together until his death in 2005.

A devoted and loving mother, she is survived by her sons, Robert Wendell Morrison Jr. and his spouse, Margaret Ethridge Morrison, of Foresthill, Ca., and Thomas Thayer Morrison and his spouse, Sloane Perry Morrison, of Burbank, Ca.; step-children Carry Biggart Hobson and her spouse, David Hobson, of Hillsboro, Ore., and Craig Stuart Biggart and his spouse, Veronda Ann Biggart, of Cascade, Mont. She is also survived by grandchildren Shaun Patrick Marshall-Morrison and his partner, Qurat U; "Anna" Ali of Salem, Ore.; Steven Anthony Marshall-Morrison of San Francisco; Robert W. Morrison III of San Francisco; Caroline Hobson of Hillsboro, Ore.; Brandy Lynne Funk; and Megan Nichole Pankratz of Cascade, Mont.

She dedicated much of her adult life to charities such as the Shriner's Hospital, Belvedere auxiliary of the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, and Sunny Hills, and supported local organizations such as the Marin Garden Club and the Francisca Club, and she was an avid supporter of local entrepreneurs. Over the course of her life, she touched many souls with a generous heart.

The family has requested that those wishing to honor her memory donate in her name to one of the following charities: the Marine Mammal Center, The Humane Society of Marin, St. Jude Children's Hospital, or Habitat for Humanity. A Service is planned for October 9th at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Belvedere, Ca.
