Heidi Carmel Hall Still
Heidi Still
Heidi Carmel Hall Still, a native of Tiburon, died September 5, 2010, at Kaiser Hospital in Sacramento after a seven-year battle with breast cancer. She was 46.

Mrs. Still grew up in Old Tiburon, the daughter of Knowles and Sherry Ann Hall. Her in-laws, Ed and Janice Still, live in Belvedere. A graduate of Redwood High School, she attended San Diego State University. She worked in the restaurant business, including Guaymas Restaurant in Tiburon and Bimbo’s in San Francisco, before becoming a bookkeeper. She had many clients in Marin. Later, she worked as a sales representative for California Closets. Eventually, she became a medical assistant in the pediatric wing of Kaiser Hospital. She died at the same Kaiser facility where she had worked years before.

She and her husband Shawn were introduced by his stepmother. With the birth of their daughter, she gave up her outside career and became a full-time mother.

She was very involved in her daughter’s school activities and, before she became too ill, she had volunteered for the organization Fishes & Loaves. She loved traveling with her family. She also was a gifted artist who worked in paints and glasswork, said her sister.

She is survived by her husband of 15 years, Shawn Still of Sacramento; a daughter, Sierra; her parents, Knowles and Sherry Ann Hall, now of The Tamalpais, Greenbrae; and a sister, Johanna Hall of Alameda.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Make-A-Wish Foundation of Sacramento, 2800 Club Center Drive, Sacramento, CA 95835; or Little Wishes, 901 Butterfield Rd., San Anselmo, CA  94960.
