When the county and statewide shelter-in-place directives ordered all non-essential businesses closed and limited the operation of restaurants, many small businesses in Tiburon were immediately dealt a devastating financial blow. In the month since the order was issued, small businesses have tried to adjust, seeking outside financial assistance and getting creative with ways to sustain their sales. But even as local efforts ramp up to support them, many owners say they remain worried about surviving the immediate impacts of the shutdown — and the long-term uncertainty that is likely to follow.
