A panel of local women discussed their career experiences, the importance of building community and ongoing efforts for equity and inclusion at Tiburon’s first celebration of Women’s History Month.

The March 28 event was held at Town Hall and sponsored by the town’s Diversity Inclusion Task Force, which has said it wants to focus this year on increasing the town’s cultural celebrations.

Nine women with varied career and life experiences spoke at the event, which also included a question-and-answer session, with event organizers stressing the importance of hearing and learning from women’s perspectives.

“Women’s History Month shouldn’t be a month long — it should be 365 days a year,” said diversity task-force member Anette Harris.
