More than two dozen hanging baskets sporting a variety of colorful flowers are once again adorning the Tiburon Boulevard entrance to downtown as part of an annual volunteer-led beautification project that began in 2010.

Some 18 large baskets were installed last week along the median starting near the Belvedere-Tiburon Library, with 12 smaller baskets hung along the road approaching Main Street. They’ll remain up into the fall, when the town will swap them for holiday decorations.

This year’s effort was led by Tiburon residents Shelley Brown and Randi Brinkman, who was one of the original co-founders of the initiative.
