Snapshots of a full moon over Angel Island, fog covering the Belvedere Lagoon and a crow perched in a Tiburon tree are among the winning entries in the 22nd annual Belvedere Community Foundation photo contest.
The six winning photos were chosen from 125 entries, with first-place prizes awarded in six categories: architecture, black and white, landscapes, wildlife, sunrise/sunset and people and events. No entries were received for the seventh category, for photographers ages 5-18.
The winning residents were honored Nov. 16 at the community foundation’s annual meeting.
Tiburon resident Jennifer Isaac took the top spot in the architecture category for “The Sails.”
Matthew James Gormley, also of Tiburon, won first place in the black-and-white category for “Full Moon Over Angel Island.”
Belvedere native Paige Peterson earned top honors in the landscape category with “Belvedere Light,” which captures a foggy, otherworldly lagoon scene.
Longtime Tiburon resident Joan Moir, captured her winning entry in the wildlife category, “Pelican Mosaic,” from the deck of her apartment at The Cove at Tiburon.
Tiburon resident Dawn Carlson's “Crow at Sunrise” earned first place in the sunrise/sunset category.
Fellow Tiburon resident Kristal Hale snagged the top prize in the people and events category with “Solstice.”
