Volunteers needed as Landmarks sites reopen for the spring

Those hoping to take in the spring blooms at Tiburon’s Art & Garden Center will have to wait another month due to a shortage of volunteer docents to staff the site.

While Belvedere’s China Cabin and Tiburon’s Railroad & Ferry Depot Museum and Old St. Hilary’s Landmark church reopened to the public this week after their annual winter closures, the Tiburon Boulevard garden center will remain closed to visitors until May 5, according to the Belvedere-Tiburon Landmarks Society, which manages all of the sites.

Executive Director Patty Flax said the nonprofit is currently recruiting additional volunteers to serve there and at the three other sites through next fall.
