Tiburon Town Council hopefuls Stefanie Cho and Isaac Nikfar will face off in an Aug. 29 special election to replace Noah Griffin, who resigned in January for family reasons. The winner will serve the remaining year of his term, through November 2024.

 

NOTE: There is no in-person voting in town. Tiburon Town Hall's ballot drop box is open 24/7 through Election Day, when polls close at 8 p.m.

KEY DATES​

  • July 31: Ballots mailed. In-person voting at Marin Civic Center Elections Department, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays and 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Election Day.
  • Aug. 1: Ballot Drop Boxes available at Marin Civic Center and Tiburon Town Hall.
  • ​Aug. 14: Voter-registration deadline.
  • Aug. 15: Conditional voter registration and same-day voting begins at the Elections Department.
  • Aug. 22: Last day to request a ballot to be mailed; voters can still pick up a ballot at the Elections Department.
  • ​Aug. 29: Election Day. Drop boxes close at 8 p.m. There is no local in-person voting.
