Reed district board member steps down after 7 years of service


Reed Union School District board member Susan Lambe Peitz has stepped down from her post to spend more time with her family and focus on her work as an emergency-room physician. Peitz resigned Nov. 2, more than a year before her current term is set to expire. She said the move was motivated by a desire to be available to her four children — three of whom are teenagers who graduated from the Reed district and one of whom is currently in sixth grade at Del Mar Middle School — while also maintaining her schedule at the University of California at San Francisco Medical Center.
