Tiburon fire district eyes shoreline land sought by town

The Tiburon Fire Protection District appears to be throwing its hat into the ring for prime waterfront real estate next to McKegney Green — Richardson Bay Sanitary District land that isn’t officially up for sale but is also being eyed by the town of Tiburon. The four parcels owned by the sanitary district are on the southeast side of the 500 Tiburon Blvd. property and are now occupied by four briny settlement ponds that previously provided treated wastewater sold to the town to irrigate McKegney Field.
