Tiburon police to crack down on leash laws, temporary ban on dogs at McKegney Green

The McKegney Green playing field has reopened some 11 months after closing for a $2 million renovation, but while kids are back playing soccer and lacrosse, and families can picnic in the park, taking your dog there could prove costly — at least for now. In its town newsletter, Tiburon announced March 20 police will step up bike patrols and crack down on leash laws, “issuing more citations and fewer warnings.” The fine for having a dog off-leash — or even on-leash in a restricted area — is $76.
