Students and family cross Lyford Drive at Tiburon Boulevard Aug. 24 as they arrive for the first day of classes at Reed Elementary School, which serves pre-kindergarten through second-grade students. Classes began the same day at Bel Aire Elementary School, for kids in grades 3-5, and at Del Mar Middle School, for grades 6-8. St. Hilary Catholic School started earlier in the week, on Aug. 21.
