Group challenges plans to bring school to ex-seminary site


A neighborhood group is asking the county to investigate North Coast Land Holdings’ decision to lease the former seminary site in Strawberry to an evangelical Christian school, alleging it violates the Strawberry Community Plan and the property’s use permit. The Seminary Neighborhood Association filed the complaint with the Marin County Community Development Agency’s code-enforcement department July 26, six days after North Coast announced it had finalized a three-year deal with Southern California-based Olivet University to put an extension campus on the site. That lease is set to begin today, Aug. 1, and continue through August 2021.
