Tam high-school district promotes assistant superintendent to top post


The Tamalpais Union High School District has plucked its next superintendent from within its own ranks. Tara Taupier, who had been serving as the district’s assistant superintendent of educational services, has been promoted to the top job. She stepped into the role Aug. 28, the same day the district’s board of trustees approved her hire. Her annual salary will be $225,000.
