Ferry operator says she’ll fight to keep Tiburon-Angel Island service


Though she declined to submit an official bid by the Aug. 24 deadline, the local owner and operator of the Tiburon-Angel Island ferry, Capt. Maggie McDonogh of Tiburon, says she’s not removing her company from the running to provide the service and that she and her family “intend to continue ferrying the public to Angel Island from Tiburon for decades to come.” McDonogh said she will hold a press conference announcing her plans to retain the contract at 11 a.m. Sept. 17 at the Angel Island-Tiburon ferry dock at 21 Main St.
