Belvedere awards contract for emergency seawall repair

Belvedere has chosen a Sacramento-based contractor to complete emergency work to shore up its Beach Road seawall.

The City Council voted unanimously at its Jan. 14 meeting to sign a $312,400 contract with Blue Iron Foundations & Shoring to put a new sheet-pile foundation across a section of about 120 feet of the seawall, which the City Council declared in October was in a state of emergency.
