Tiburon resident brings passion for knitting to new Main Street shop

Julie Stanton first learned to knit as a young girl, but she rediscovered the craft years ago as a way to help ease the stress of watching her son Ben’s Little League games. “He’d get up to the plate, strike out and go back into the dugout and cry,” Stanton says. “I’d be sitting in the stands and couldn’t take the stress of his distress, so I took up knitting again to calm myself down as I watched the game.” In the years since, the craft has grown into much more than a hobby for the Tiburon resident. Stanton in February opened Knit House, located at 32 Main St. (Diane Smith photo / For The Ark)
