Tiburon International Film Festival kicks off April 12, features two films with local ties


The 18th annual Tiburon International Film Festival starts rolling April 12, and this year will feature trailblazers including “Qualified,” about the first woman to qualify and race in the Indianapolis 500, and “The Song of the Tree,” the first musical made in Kyrgyzstan that brings the vibrant traditions of the Kyrgyz people to the big screen. The festival's Marin Filmmakers series will also feature "Strangers at Night" by Tiburon native Ian Adelson, and “Lies and Miracles: Childhood in a Siberian Labor Camp,” featuring Tiburon resident George Landau.
