Tiburon council approves hike to garbage rates


Garbage and recycling rates are going up July 1. At its June 5 meeting, the Tiburon Town Council voted 4-0 to approve Mill Valley Refuse Service’s request for a 4.01-percent rate increase. The rate increase comes with a previously approved move to dual-stream recycling, designed to reduce the amount of contaminated recycled paper goods that are rerouted to landfills.
