Tiburon’s Elly Hakami inducted into NorCal Tennis Hall of Fame

In her teens and early 20s, Tiburon's Elly Hakami played in all four of the Grand Slam tournaments: the Australian, French and U.S. opens and Wimbledon, making seven of her nine grand-slam trips before the age of 21. At the height of her professional career, Hakami was ranked No. 32 in the world in women’s singles and No. 68 in doubles. In recognition of her outstanding career, Hakami, now 49, was one of five people inducted last month into the U.S. Tennis Association’s Northern California Tennis Hall of Fame.
