Tiburon schools work to tweak learning plan as closures extend to May 1

With schools in Marin now expected to be shuttered through at least May 1 due to the coronavirus, the Reed Union School District will look to adapt its distance-learning plan to provide more virtual teacher-student interaction while also exploring ways to better track students’ progress and engagement throughout the extended closures. At the district board’s March 24 meeting, the first since all three Reed district campuses closed March 13, board members were briefed on the district’s first week of distance learning, heard comments from several parents struggling with the transition and discussed ways the plan could be tweaked to better support students if the closures went beyond the planned re-open date of April 13.
