Police investigate coronavirus-related vandalism to signs in Tiburon, Corte Madera

Tiburon police are investigating a string of vandalism that appears to have targeted coronavirus-related street signs, barricades and printed notices in grocery stores, all of which were damaged or removed April 4. Police have identified a 56-year-old Mill Valley man — reportedly seen later that day removing similar signs and barricades in Corte Madera — as the person they believe is responsible for the Tiburon vandalism. Tiburon police spokeswoman Laurie Nilsen said once their investigation is complete, a complaint will be sent to the Marin County District Attorney’s office for possible misdemeanor vandalism charges.
