Tiburon students help lead team to first-place finish in global hackathon

Two Tiburon teens were part of a team that earned a top finish in a global hackathon aimed at tackling the challenges posed by the coronavirus pandemic. Beck Lorsch, a junior at Marin Academy, and Rohan Vasishth, a senior at San Francisco University High School, and their teammates, Branson School students Sasha Sherstnev and Amrit Baveja, won first place in the education track of the Global Hack for creating InsideScoop, a platform designed to give teachers better insight into student engagement in online learning. The teens were awarded a prize of 10,000 euros, or about $10,800.
