Belvedere bash to celebrate city’s 125th birthday

Belvedere is inviting its residents to celebrate the city’s 125th birthday over Labor Day weekend with a free party offering live music, food trucks, wine and a movie night.

The family-friendly event, set for 5-9:30 p.m. Sept. 4 at Belvedere Community Park, will feature performances from musical duo Bruce Bill and Janet Lee and a song from the St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church choir, along with a balloon and bubble vendor for kids. Food trucks will pull up to the park with food for purchase, and donated wine will be free for adults. At 7:45 p.m., families can settle in for a screening of “The Princess Bride.”

The event is free, but residents are asked to RSVP by emailing belvederebirthdaybash@cityofbelvedere.org with the number of people who will be attending.
