Candidate profiles: Four vie for interim seat on Tiburon Town Council

The four candidates running for an interim seat on the Tiburon Town Council include three residents with experience serving on town boards and task forces and one who says his outside perspective will be an asset to the council.

Kathleen Defever, Noah Griffin, Brian McCullough and Nora Noguez are running in the Nov. 2 election for the seat vacated by David Kulik, who resigned last spring after moving out of town with his family. The winner will serve out the remaining three years of Kulik’s term, through November 2024.

The field of candidates reveals a range of backgrounds and motivations for running for the council, with the hopefuls highlighting emergency preparedness, revitalizing downtown, reducing traffic congestion and emphasizing diversity and inclusion initiatives among their priorities for office.
