Del Mar teacher, St. Hilary staff earn Rotary’s Educator of the Year honors

The Rotary Club of Tiburon-Belvedere has selected Del Mar Middle School teacher Madison Niesyn and the entire staff of St. Hilary Catholic School as the recipients of the club’s 2021 Educator of the Year awards.


Niesyn was recognized for her role as an environmental leadership teacher who has helped students develop recycling and composting programs at Del Mar, where she also teaches seventh-grade math. The staff of St. Hilary’s, including its 25 K-8 teachers, were recognized for their collective efforts to educate students during the COVID-19 pandemic.
