Eased rules and vaccine rollout leave businesses more optimistic

As Marin County eases coronavirus restrictions and California aims to fully reopen in June, Tiburon Peninsula business owners said they’re encouraged by an uptick in patrons and are cautiously optimistic about future economic recovery. Lisa Lori, owner of The Perfect Provenance boutique on Tiburon’s Main Street, said she’s noticed more people out and about in the area, particularly seniors who are more likely to have been vaccinated. Over on Ark Row, interior designer Ruth Livingston, who operates Ruth Livingston Studio at 74 Main St., said retail traffic is still light, so she’s keeping the studio’s hours reduced. However, behind the scenes, she said, her staff is working six days a week.
