GreenTeam works on new downtown butterfly garden

The Tiburon Peninsula GreenTeam is moving forward with a project aimed at attracting more four-winged visitors to downtown Tiburon: a new butterfly garden. The volunteer group is working to transform a small undeveloped parcel on Tiburon Boulevard into the garden, which is designed to attract monarch butterflies. The parcel sits adjacent to Ground garden store, directly across from the Belvedere-Tiburon Library, and is bound by a horizontal-slat fence on one side and the Tiburon Boulevard sidewalk on the other. he GreenTeam has put the project out to bid for the clearing, preparation and planting, and the work is scheduled to be completed by the end of April, assuming the plants arrive on time.
