The owners of a 2½-story mixed-use building under construction at the former site of New Morning Cafe in downtown Tiburon said they need to cut the number of apartments planned for the property from two to one. ACV Argo Tiburon LP is set to head back to the Planning Commission tonight, Jan. 27, to request a change to its conditional use permit to allow for one residential unit spread across the second and third floors of the 6,000 square foot building. Plans for commercial use on the ground floor of the property, at 1694-1696 Tiburon Blvd., remain unchanged.

UPDATE: ACV Argo has withdrawn its application.
