Belvedere Planning Commission chair bows out after 12 years on the board


When Belvedere Planning Commission Chair Paul Rosenlund handed the gavel over to second-in-command James Lynch on June 18, he ended his time as the longest actively serving member of the city board.

Rosenlund, a 65-year-old Oak Avenue resident and attorney, was appointed to the commission in 2006 after spending several years on the city’s Parks and Open Space Committee.

He stepped down from his seat, which officially expires June 30, after serving three consecutive terms on the seven-member Planning Commission, which works to review applications for home demolitions, construction and remodels and has the first say on many land-use and planning-policy changes.
