Tiburon extends smoking ban to all multiunit housing, streets, sidewalks

Available places to buy cigarettes and to light up in Tiburon are going up in smoke.

With only one letter of opposition, the Tiburon Town Council voted unanimously June 20 to become Marin’s last municipality to extend its smoking and vaping ban in apartment buildings to all attached multiunit residential complexes, such as condominiums, townhouses and duplexes. Under the law, smoking and vaping would be prohibited on the patios, balconies, decks and outdoor common areas of those dwellings.
