Developer reaches three-year deal to bring school to former Strawberry seminary site


A private evangelical Christian college is set to expand to the former seminary site in Strawberry beginning Aug. 1. Olivet University has struck a three-year deal with property-owner North Coast Land Holdings to occupy the site’s academic campus through August 2021. The Southern California-based school, which already has a satellite campus in San Francisco, offers undergraduate and graduate courses. It initially plans to host 250-300 students, faculty and staff; about half of those people will live on campus, primarily in two current vacant dormitories, while the other half will commute, according to North Coast.
