Tiburon to start upgrading 129 streetlights to LEDs


After a trial period, Tiburon is moving ahead with its plan to retrofit 129 cobra-head-style streetlights in certain neighborhoods with LED lights — a move that’s expected to shave $5,500 off the town’s annual electricity bill. The Bel Aire, Greenwood Beach Road, upper Reed Ranch Road, Belveron East and West and Old Tiburon neighborhoods, as well as parts of Lyford Drive, will all see the change within the next few months.
