Yellow Bus Challenge officials fear slow increase in Tiburon traffic

The officials who oversee Tiburon’s Yellow Bus Challenge are worried traffic on Tiburon Boulevard appears to once again be slowing down during peak school drop-off and pick-up times, despite a record-high year of bus-pass sales and the rollout of seven new buses aimed at helping the service run smoothly. To get a handle on whether anecdotal observations about the traffic ring true, the Tiburon Peninsula Traffic Relief Joint Powers Authority board of directors recently authorized Sausalito-based Parisi Transportation Consulting to prepare a report on traffic volumes and speed of traffic on Tiburon Boulevard between 2013 and 2018.
