Adaptive-signal pilot at Trestle Glen won’t come until spring
An adaptive-signal pilot intended to ease the Tiburon Boulevard bottleneck at Trestle Glen Boulevard won’t be running until spring 2027, Public Works Engineering Manager David Eshoo said. He said that is the pace the town expects, given Caltrans’ review process.
Eshoo gave that update to The Ark after a Sept. 2 presentation to the Town Council on the pilot, which is budgeted at $105,000 to $180,000 in the town’s fiscal year 2026-2027 capital-improvement program.
No equipment goes in until the study is done. Parametrix must analyze how the intersection operates, then settle with Caltrans on what the state will allow and bring a recommended design back to the council. The council would then decide whether to send the project out to bid.
That work started Aug. 12, Eshoo said, and Parametrix began gathering video and traffic data for its analysis of existing conditions the week of Aug. 24. The consultant produced the town’s two-year traffic study and is now coordinating the signal work.
