Del Mar Middle School recognized as a California Distinguished School for 2024

Del Mar Middle School has been named a 2024 California Distinguished School in recognition of its “exceptional student performance.”

 

The school is one of 293 middle and high schools across the state to earn the prestigious award, doled out by the state Department of Education. Schools are recognized based either on student performance, which includes academic achievement in English language arts and math and reducing suspensions and, for high schools, generating high graduations rates, or for closing the achievement gap for historically underserved groups.
