Everyday Encounters: A pair of Sebastopol nurses explores Tiburon after years on the road

On a clear day in downtown Tiburon, Will and Lisa Labrie walk past Caffe Acri, taking in a town they say they have never really known. They have lived elsewhere in the Bay Area for years.
“This is our first time in Tiburon,” says Will Labrie, 55. “We really don’t know what to expect.”
The couple, who live in Sebastopol, are making a day of it Sept. 2. They have already visited Angel Island, riding over on the Angel Island Tiburon Ferry and taking the tram tour to learn about the island’s history. Now they are wandering through Tiburon, looking around at the water, the restaurants and the hillside neighborhoods.
