Everyday Encounters: A waterfront walk at Blackie’s Pasture keeps three teens active

Trinity Winchester, Kate Rubel and Cole Norgaard fall into an easy rhythm walking along the shoreline path at Blackie’s Pasture on July 8.
For Trinity and Kate, both 17 and incoming seniors at Redwood High School, the walks are a way to stay active and frequently follow their early-morning gym sessions. For Cole, a recent Redwood High graduate, the walks are a chance to enjoy the scenery.
“We go on this walk a lot,” Trinity says, adding that she also takes advantage of the trails in Kentfield, where she lives. “Around here we go on lots of hikes, look at views. Up where I live, there’s also lots of trails like Phoenix Lake. … I go hiking a lot.”
