Friday Nights on Main fest, OK’d for June 14, will ring in summer, packed weekend

Updated: May 23

The Friday Nights on Main street festival will return to downtown Tiburon June 14, kicking off summer break for local students and a Father’s Day weekend of activities that includes the annual Tiburon Classic Car Show and Juneteenth festival along with Belvedere’s community barbecue and Concerts in the Park series.

The Town Council voted 4-0 on May 15, with member Jon Welner absent, to approve the 2:30-10 p.m. closure of lower Main Street for Friday Nights on Main, which is hosted by the Tiburon Peninsula Chamber of Commerce. The event itself will run 5:30-8:30 p.m.

“I think it’s fantastic that we have three (Tiburon) events in the same weekend,” Vice Mayor Holli Thier said. “I think it’s going to be a huge draw for Tiburon.”
