Juneteenth jams in Tiburon

From the top, the R&B band Joyce Grant & Co. performed at Tiburon’s Juneteenth Celebration on Main Street June 22. Junior and Juli Valdez play a game of Connect Four set up by Paul Austin (second left) of Play Marin as their father watches. The event also featured Black-owned businesses, including Zambezi Biltong which sells air-dried sliced beef, while Yema clothing boutique co-owner Hawi Awash, a member of event sponsor the Tiburon Diversity Inclusion Task Force, took a ride on a horse owned by the Denver-based Cinch Cattle Co.
