Pick of the Week: Little League OpeningDay parade, festival

Tiburon Peninsula Little League’s opening-day parade and block party will take over downtown Tiburon on March 13. The festivities kick off with the 4:30 p.m. parade down the Tiburon Boulevard sidewalk, starting across from the Belvedere-Tiburon Library and ending at Fountain Plaza. There, a block party will run on lower Ark Row from 5 to 8 p.m. with carnival games for kids, a booth selling league-branded shirts and caps, a silent auction and a fundraising wine-and-beer bar for grown-ups. Proceeds from the block party benefit the league. The regular season began March 8, with opening-day games March 14. The event is free. tiburonll.org.
