Salt & Pepper named Tiburon Peninsula business of the year

Salt & Pepper Restaurant, open on Tiburon’s Main Street since 2010, is the Tiburon Peninsula Chamber of Commerce’s 2026 Business of the Year.

It’s the first time the 38 Main St. restaurant has received the honor, says owner Paulino Monterroso, a San Rafael resident.

“It’s an honor to receive this recognition, which is well deserved by all the other businesses, especially as it’s our first year receiving this,” Monterroso says in a Sept. 18 interview at the restaurant, conducted primarily in Spanish. “No. 1, we’re really proud of that.”

The chamber will present the award at its annual awards celebration Nov. 17. Bank of Marin’s annual Spirit of Marin Awards, which recognize the winners of chamber awards across Marin County, also honored Salt & Pepper at the bank’s Sept. 17 luncheon in San Rafael.
