Seven honored in annual Belvedere Community Foundation photo contest

The stand-out snaps in this year’s Belvedere Community Foundation photo contest captured moments big and small on the peninsula, from an early morning walk on Ring Mountain and a sunset shot of the Golden Gate Bridge to a day spent in Tiburon’s parks.

The winning photos were chosen from 130 entries, with first-place prizes awarded in seven categories:

  • Youth: Tristan Gormley of Tiburon for "A Bridge."

  • Sunrise/Sunset: Carli Hamilton of Belvedere for "Windward Reflection."

  • People: Sam Stewart of Tiburon for "Exploring Tiburon Linear Park"

  • Black & White: Kristal Hale of Belvedere for "Ring Mountain."

  • Landscape: George Brewster of Belvedere for "Moonrise."

  • Wildlife: Matt Cutler of Tiburon for ‘Noticing.’

  • Architecture: Leela Voges of Tiburon for "Seek Higher Ground."

The winning residents were honored Nov. 21 at the community foundation’s annual meeting.
