Three dozen Tiburon streets are slated for 2026 upgrades

Nearly three dozen Tiburon streets east of Trestle Glen Boulevard are slated for repairs next year.

The Town Council voted unanimously at its Oct. 15 meeting to approve a $121,220 contract with San Luis Obispo-headquartered Pavement Engineering Inc. to design the annual street rehabilitation project. The work will cover 6.54 miles of roads.

Funding for the design work was included as part of the town’s capital-improvement program for fiscal year 2025-2026. The streets, all of which need “light maintenance,” according to a staff report, were selected in April after a roads assessment conducted by the town and funded by the Metropolitan Transportation Commission, which doles out money to jurisdictions every three years for the evaluations.
