Alexis Galarneau has twice competed in the Tiburon Challenger, reaching the semifinals each time. This year, the 25-year-old from the Montreal suburb of Laval has his sights set on the top prize.

“Obviously, I would like to get to the finals,” he says. “I think that would be the next step.”

Galarneau is one of the four dozen or so tennis players set to take center court when this year’s Tiburon Challenger comes into town Sept. 29-Oct. 6 at the Tiburon Peninsula Club.
