Tiburon local runs her way to All-American honors at Chapman

Annika Carlson, who grew up in Tiburon, became the first All-American cross-country runner in Chapman University history in November.
Carlson, a junior at the private university in Orange, near Santa Ana, earned the All-American honors from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association after finishing 39th at the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships Nov. 18 in Newville, Pennsylvania.
