The Tiburon Peninsula Little League All-Stars completed back-to-back undefeated runs to District 3 championships, this year with a come-from-behind 5-4 victory over Novato North that included a controversial call late in the game.

The 12-and-under squad entered the week with a 3-0 record, then beat Novato South 7-5, Mill Valley 5-2 and West Marin 12-3 in round-robin play to earn the No. 1 seed in the elimination brackets.

In the quarterfinal they faced West Marin again, this time winning 4-1 on July 8 before dropping Mill Valley 6-1 in the semifinal the next day, setting up the title fight against Novato North, who came into the July 10 championship game as the No. 2 seed with a 7-1 record.
