Tiburon teen helps row youth four boat to national title

Redwood High School graduate Chloe Grimes Frushtick helped the Marin Rowing Association capture the women’s youth four national title at the 2025 USRowing Youth National Championships.

 

Frushtick, who graduated early and missed commencement to compete, rowed in the three seat as Marin swept through competition June 12-15 at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, Florida. The crew won their time trial, semifinal and final to claim the national title.

 

Marin finished the championship race with a time of 7:04.67, defeating second-place Connecticut by nearly five seconds. The crew also included Ava Brooks, Lindsay Harrison and Isabella Warner, with Sandy Armstrong as coach.

 

A Reed district alumna who committed to Cal some two years ago, the Tiburon rower’s goal is to be on the U23 national team and represent the U.S. at an Olympics.
