Pastor David Hall of Big God Ministries has a frequent refrain for those who attend his Sunday services, or anyone else he may encounter seeking his guidance or advice.

“I tell people every day, ‘Today’s your best day,’” says Hall, 62. “‘Put your hands on yourself, close your eyes and tell yourself you love yourself.’”

The central tenet of Big God Ministries, the non-denominational Christian congregation Hall and his wife, Denise, founded in 2004, is infusing more love into the community — and longtime Tiburon resident Hall is leading by example. Each year, Big God Ministries distributes thousands of turkeys to Marin residents in need ahead of Thanksgiving; it also hosts an annual toy giveaway for thousands of underserved families in December, ahead of Christmas.

“I want to spread that love around the world every single day,” Hall says.
