Triathlete and finance veteran joins Strawberry Rec board

A triathlete who swims at the Strawberry Recreation Center pool several times a week will now help govern the facility with the district board’s appointment of 25-year resident Doug Twillman.
Twillman, 65, brings four decades of financial experience in replacing former board member Cale Nichols, who resigned in August after moving out of state. The board selected Twillman in a 3-1 vote Sept. 23.
Twillman has worked as a financial analyst and consultant for more than 40 years, most recently in commercial real estate. He will help oversee operations, community programs and fiscal planning for the recreation district.
